Hi I'm Frances, food product developer and writer of the Spoon and Whisk. Food has always been a huge part of my life. It all started off with a BSc in Food Development and Innovation at University College Birmingham and from there I embarked on my career in the food industry where I now eat and develop sandwiches for a living.
I love to cook and bake...sweet stuff especially, (as you can probably tell from looking at all my recipes) and here on my food blog you'll encounter a multitude of culinary delights that I like to knock up in my spare time.
Some of my favourite ingredients to bake with include cardamon, orange blossom and earl grey tea (not all together, eww!) I love experimenting with different flavour combinations and coming up with new recipe ideas from things I've eaten or seen out and about on my travels, giving me inspiration from everywhere I go.
